Leafy Tracks

While checking out a local beaver wetland yesterday, I came across this interesting trail of tracks. You can see where two animals (coyotes perhaps) walked on the ice when it was watery on top. Leaves later blew across the surface as the water re-froze and ended up embedded in the tracks.

  1. Are you sure about coyote? From what I've seen on TV, it looks like the work of a Leaf-it-too Beaver.

  2. That's incredible that the leaves stuck to the tracks like that - never seen anything like that and certainly interesting....Makes us want to go do some experimenting with it ourselves :)

Happy to have stumbled across your site- looking forward to following!
